The image on my site's homepage is of the lovely Lola, and it was creating her in glass that inspired me to start my business. Lola was a beautiful black labrador (a police sniffer dog with a K9 memorial medal), owned by some lovely friends of mine (he’s a police dog handler). She passed away at the beginning of the year and my friends were devastated. I decided to make her in glass and set her in an oak stand with a tealights behind, so she could be lit in memory. The reaction from my good friend (a chap not given to emotions) was to choke up and his wife was tearful. The piece sits on the mantle piece over their fireplace.
